Changes to Speke Academy Bus Service from September 2026
Due to rising operational costs and sustained financial pressures on school budgets, it has unfortunately become necessary to review the funding of this service. As a result, from 1st September 2026, the Speke Academy bus service will no longer be able to operate free of charge.
From this date, a contribution of £1 per day will be required for students using the service. This equates to a total annual cost of £190 per student.  Students who are in receipt of Pupil Premium grant funding will not be charged.
To support families in managing this change, payments will be structured in a manageable way:
 – Autumn Term (September – December): 70 school days = £70
– Spring Term    (January – March): 60 school days = £60
– Summer Term (April – July): 60 school days = £60
This totals £190 per academic year, equivalent to £1 per day.
Students will be issued with a photographic pass to access the bus service for travel. If a student loses their bus pass there will be an administration fee of £5.00 to replace it.
If you would like to request a place, please email academybus2026@astn.allsaintsmat.org  We understand that any change involving additional costs may be challenging, and this decision has not been taken lightly. The service remains a valued part of our provision, and this contribution will help ensure that we can continue to offer safe and reliable transport for our students.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Academy.
