A Level Computer Science is split up into 3 component.
Component 1 – Computer Systems (Exam worth 40% of overall grade)
Component 2 – Algorithms & Programming (Exam worth 40% of overall grade)
Component 3 – Programming Project (Coursework worth 20% of overall grade)
It is taught with industry at the forefront of our teaching. We currently teach the students 5 different programming languages from Python to C#.

OCR Level 3 IT gives all the students an insight into how the world of IT works. We delve deep into how computer systems are used by both individuals and businesses. We currently a lot of employment links to ensure all the lessons that are delivered will give the students an insight into what to expect if they wanted to move into employment within IT.

This course will comprise of 3 exams and 2 pieces of coursework. These are:
OCR Level 3 Digital Media gives all students the opportunity to investigate in the various types of digital media that is all around us in every day life. We investigate how media is produced including films and print based products. Students will also have the opportunity to pitch their ideas for a film, create the film, advertise it and create a media profile for themselves. This is an exciting programme that has got 4 pieces of coursework and 2 exams.

Within this L2 Digital Media programme, this is a part of our Level 2 offer. Within this qualification, we look into various types of media and teach theory around why media is created and how it is created using industry standard software such as the Adobe suite. Students will cover 2 pieces of coursework that will incorporate a lot of skills needed to move students onto their next level of learning.
