A real sense of positivity from students, parents and staff alike on GCSE results day this year reflects the special culture prevalent at The Academy of St Nicholas. We were delighted to see so many students open their envelopes and cry with joy, many alongside their parents and all alongside their teachers following a year of increased academic rigour.

We are delighted that students rose to the challenge and have succeeded in securing the next stage of their education. There were some exceptional sets of results for students who worked so hard well supported by staff who go that extra mile to ensure they achieved their personal best.  The bustling queue to cement their place at All Saints Sixth form saw students effusive about continuing their journey onto A level and vocational courses having witnessed the success of post 16 results last week.

It’s a hat-trick for the Art department with 3 grade 9s and 100% pass rate for students, they stop at nothing to ensure top grades for students.. Lisa attained all grades 5-7’s whilst big brain Anna secured her 9s in Maths and Art with  the rest 8’s -7.

Emily got her 8’s (3 by the way) with the rest 7’s and 6’s. Sharing the news here with her parents, they were all clearly delighted with one or two tears shed in the special moments here at St Nicholas today. Emily, promised extra pocket money for each grade, leaves her dad doing the maths whilst she smiles her way through the morning and certainly through the next stage of her studies in languages. Well done Emily!

It was well done to Elisha with a 9 in Maths, an 8 in English and plenty of 7’s. Her  dream of becoming a History teacher is certainly a step closer. Sharing the good news she celebrates here with Rachel  passing  them all. Our academy apprentices  have been working at school since their last exams and we would be lost without them.

Both are returning to All Saints to continue their successful journey to the vocation of their dreams.
