Computing @ Schools Trip

On Tuesday 20th March, Mr Rooney took a group of 11 girls to Manchester University to take part in a Computer Science day.

The day was delivered by Computing at Schools Manchester staff and Manchester University doctors in Computer Science.

The girls had a great time trying out some advanced scratch skills and making their own music through Sonic Pi.

The girls got really interested in Sonic Pi and ended up re-creating the song Havana which they all enjoyed listening to.

Mr Rooney started a sing-along all the way home on the train.

The Manchester University staff passed comment on how well the girls have behaved and that they are a credit to our school.

Well done girls and keep up the fantastic work.
