SUBJECT OVERVIEW

The study of health and social care is important for personal development, health and well-being and also as a knowledge base for further study at college or university.  Having an awareness of how to care for yourself and others is important to ensure that we adopt a healthy approach to life.

Through the development of practical skills and theoretical knowledge, we aim to equip students with the knowledge and understanding of key concepts that will enable them to pursue a career within the health and social care sector as well as an understanding of the benefits of adopting a healthier lifestyle.
