SUBJECT OVERVIEW

Divided into units of reading, writing, speaking and listening, English at Enterprise South Liverpool Academy strives to promote purpose, clarity, control and creativity within all aspects of communication.  Students are actively encouraged to share their opinions and seek supporting evidence from texts in order to justify and explore their individual ideas.

A team of dedicated, passionate and specialist staff will guide and support your child through a broad curriculum: Shakespeare, media, drama, poetry and prose; fiction and non-fiction.  Your child will also experience open learning where issues and topics from modern society provide a springboard for creativity, discussion and debate.
