Welcome from our Headteacher

Please can I introduce myself to you. My name is David Lancaster and I am proud to be the Headteacher of St Nicholas

We are a Character first Academy, guided by our Christian ethos. We will develop the Character of our students and staff through our core values of Resilience, Ambition, Respect and Compassion.

All we do is based upon the Academy Promise that staff, students and parents make to each other:

“We always try our Personal Best

and accept No Excuses”

Our vision is to ensure all in the Academy reach their Personal Best potential. This must be seen in everything we do. This will ensure we all have the knowledge, skills and most importantly the Character values that are needed in order to have a successful life.

I have a very simple view of education. Your child needs to be challenged and supported to achieve their ‘Personal Best’, every day.

Since I was appointed in September 2017 we have worked hard to continue to improve the Academy. It is clear we are doing this. Everyone at St Nicholas is trying their best to ensure we become the school of choice within our community.
